Melanoma Research Grants

With a special focus on screening and prevention, grants were awarded for Career Development, Basic Science, and Translational Research. Since 2004 The Harry J. Lloyd Charitable Trust granted 144 melanoma research grants totaling $17,972,631.

Recipients of Lloyd Trust melanoma grants have conducted research around the world in countries including Argentina, Australia, Belgium, Germany, Greece, Israel, Italy, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, The Netherlands, the United Kingdom, and The United States of America. With a special focus on screening and prevention, most individual grants do not exceed $125,000 per year.

In 2003, The Harry J. Lloyd Charitable Trust established a melanoma advisory committee to assist the seven trustees in identifying and reviewing melanoma research grant requests. In 18 years the trust has provided 144 melanoma research grants totaling nearly $18 million.
